Week 6 of 1/2 Marathon Training!

Hello all my wonderful friends! How was your weekend? Mine, it was AMAZING!!! I was at the CHFA (Canadian Health Food Association) Trade show in Vancouver. I was doing some work for Veeva (you have to know about Veeva already, it’s my go~to, #1 recommended, Stress Helping, Happy Pill, I talk about it here & here). I met so many great people & have made some really cool contacts. I also have some great reviews & give~a~ways coming up really soon (so stay tuned!)

As for my most recent week of training, it was pretty great. If you recall, this is my new schedule & I’m still keeping to it pretty well :)

1~ Long Steady Run 1~2 hr

2~ 2o min of Arms & 20 min of Hill Running

3~ 30 min Run w/ a Pace of 5~6min/km

4~ REST

5~ Spurt Running & 20 min Arms

6~ Long Steady Run 1~2 hr

7~ 20 min Arms & 20 min Abs

8~ 30 min Run w/ pace of 5~6 min/km

9~ REST

Most of the week was pretty good (day 2~5), Hill day kind~a sucked, but Friday, Friday was amazing AMAZING I tell you! Why?

I DID IT!!!!! I DID IT!!!! I DID IT!!!!! I DID IT!!!!

I ran my farthest ever to date!!!!!

8.67 km in 55min (I know the average pace there is about 6.3, but I walked up a 1km hill that was DEADLY…. most of my 1k pace times were closer to 4.7 & 5.3).

I remember leaving the house thinking I may need to call for a ride home at some point. I even told Chris to be prepared to come & get me somewhere ;) . But off I went, I ran & fueled (vega) & ran more & fueled (vega hydrating powder in lemon/lime) & ran & ran & walked up a crazy messed up hill), & ran & ran & fueled & walked & ran. Then I felt it, I was getting tired. I figured that I was getting close to the school, maybe another 10 minutes of running, & then, then I would call Chris. But you know what happened? I turned the corner & there was the school! I was nearly there!!! I could not believe it! I was going to make it :) It was going to do it!!!!! I was (still am) so Proud of myself (see).

I did this all by myself, & even tho it’s not even half of a half marathon, it’s the longest I’ve EVER run in my life. And that’s pretty cool :)

Sat & Sun were spent in Vancouver super busy so I did no exercises besides my 200 Jumping Jacks & a ton of walking around.

How was your week of working out & running & training? Anything new & exciting to report? Did you make yourself proud? :)
