So it’s Monday again (;) ) Did you have a wonderful Weekend? Did you keep it Healthy? Anything special for Mother’s Day?
~ I had an amazing Mother’s Day, it was filled with my 3 Special men making all my dreams come true! It started with my oldest who made breakfast for me (after an amazing 8.5k run along the Ocean), then after opening my precious presents from the boys we watched the kid’s soccer game, (Oscar did great in Goal & Callym scored 4 goals!!!),
we went out for brunch after (along the dock) & that included a Mimosa!
Walked in the Park & along the Boardwalk, got a delish Gelato, drove around the Island exploring & then hung out at a beautiful co~op farm & bought some pretty Tomato plants. After my hubby stopped at a winery for some tastings (surprise!!) He even bought me a bottle! Then we grabbed some fresh Portobello mushrooms & Brussel Sprouts for dinner, I had some of my new wine while I cooked (I love cooking!) & if that wasn’t enough, the boys made me a special “super mom” cake!
It was so great, then a super refreshing (& much needed) after dinner walk along the ocean, that’s when we found a cool stump for the house, Chris carried it all the way home! (it must have been 50 pounds~ he’s my superman!!)
Then when the boys were in bed I got to watched tv while I got an incredible foot rub. How can the day have gone better I ask? INCREDIBLE!!!!!
So….. now that I got all that gushing out (Love you so much Callym & Oscar & Chris, I am the lucky one to be your MOM!!!) ok, now I’m done
……onto Monday ‘stuff’. I usually have all of my Workout & Running info on Mondays, but I’m just not sure if I’m going to keep that up. Is anyone out there reading it? hahaha. Seriously… are you there? I will be more than happy to keep a tab of what I’m up to in regards to fitness, but I need to know that you’re out there reading it. Let me know in the comments what up. Do you dig it, do you want more?
OK, Running stuff!
Now that I’m running more seriously, after all, one of my Mothers day present’s was a Membership to the BC~Athletics! (plus I’ve got a 10k in 2 weeks, 1/2 Marathon in 1 month & a 5k with Callym in 1 1/2 Months), needless to say I’m kind~of into running sites. Thought I’d share

Here’s a great quick post about the pros of running. I love it! I don’t need convincing about going out for a run, but if you are on the fence, check it out. & here’s 7 reasons to get out & move, just in case you need some more motivation!
As for a schedule, the next 2 weeks, I’m going to keep running 5k two to three times & do a kick~ass 8~9k on the weekends. (I really want my 10k at the end of the month to be my first time EVER running that far, is that crazy? I think it’s COOL!). And for workingn out, I’m going to try to follow this ToneItUp schedule. I’ve been a ‘member’ of Tone It Up for a loooooong time, but never really followed their routines. I guess we’ll see what happens eh?
Do you have any amazing sites to share about Running? Maybe just some cool fitness sites in General?
I should mention, my Mothers day Run included some real Fueling. I tried Vega’s Gel & I must admit that it helped me finish up the last half of my run. I can’t wait to try it again for the next big run!!
