It’s coming. It’s getting nearer & nearer! The 1/2 is almost here!
I’m trying to psyche myself. Getting ready for this 1/2 Marathon coming up.
I’m excited & nervous. I’m thinking that I’m not as prepared as I should be. I’m also thinking that as long as I finish & have fun I’m a winner!
I decided that I should try running at least 16k before I’m forced to finish the half. A 1/2 is 21.0975km. I did that on Friday.
I’m so proud. I finished it in 1:45:51. I’m impressed if only because I did it & didn’t have to call my Hubby to pick me up
I walked a little, but I did it. I hope I can say that in 6 days.
I thought about making a schedule:
Run 4k walk 1k. Repeat until done.
Run 5k walk 1/2k. Repeat until done.
Then I decided to just Run until I needed to walk. Walk until I could Run again. As long as I have fun. And push myself. I want to push myself.
Before I knew anything about running more than 5k I ‘guessed’ that I could do this in 2 hours & 16 minutes. I’m not so sure how do~able this would be. But I’m gonna give it a go!
Adele, Shakira, Britney. You should all be ready. I’ll need you to get me through this!
