My Daily Non~Negotiables

I’m the kind of girl who loves & craves having a daily routine…. but I also need some spontaneity so I don’t go mental. Know what I mean? ;) hahaha

Whatever happens in my day, what ever get’s thrown my way & no matter what is on my to~do list, these are my daily NoN~Negotiables!

#1~ Exercise & Sweat my booty!

Even if I don’t have time to do a proper run, even if I wake up late, I will fit in something. 200 Jumping Jacks as fast as I can, or 75 Curls or Shoulder Lifts. It doesn’t have to be a long or elaborate routine. But it does need to get my heart pumping.

#2~ Drink lots of Water!

It’s all around us, makes most of our bodies us, & is the key to a healthy bod. If I forget my water bottle at home I will usually buy one. I know it’s sucky, but I don’t want to neglect my bod. It needs this stuff like my lungs need air. When I’m feeling fancy I add in Lemon, Cucumbers or Berries!

#3~ Laugh, Laugh, Laugh

Some days it’s hard. Some days it’s easy. But everyday is a great day for a laugh. It helps with stress, anxiety, depression. Heck, it just makes the day (& life) better! If there is nothing funny going on in your life right now, then think of a time when there was. A joke, a show, a situation. Here’s a photo of me at the park that may help. It’s ok to laugh at me :)

#4~ Supplemements

Everyone is different & needs different supplements. For me I know my needs change on a monthly & even daily basis. But whatever I need at that time, I make sure I get.

#5~ Living Green Foods

It doesn’t matter if you are Vegan, Vegetarian, Paleo, Carnivore, etc. Everyone & I mean EVERYONE needs to be eating their share of the Living Leafy Green Veggies out there. I know how hard it is, so if need be add in some Green Powder in your water (see #2)

#6~ Quiet Time

This I feel is just as important as Water & Air. If we can’t turn our minds off with the beauty of Silence, then we are doomed. Find yourself a quiet closet, a hill top retreat, a road side turn out & just be. 5 minutes could be all you need.

8 Ways You can be Calmer Right Now!

We’re all Stressed out. Sometimes Life just throws a little too much our way.

Here are 10 Quick & Easy Ways You can feel Calmer Right Now!

1~ Take a Deep Breathe & Count to 10 (slowly). You may remember your Mom or Gramma telling you this when you were young. It’s still totally valid. Give it a try! You don’t necessarily need to meditate, but if you have the time it would be even better!

2~ Take a nice long Warm Relaxing Bath. Light some Candles, grab a book, throw in some bubbles or a Bath Bomb & Boom! You’re relaxed :)

3~ Run or Sprint. I realize this may not work for everyone every time, but if it’s appropriate for you at that moment then GO! Grab your Brief Case & GO. Sprint or Run for as short or long as you can. You’ll know it’s working when you feel the stress is no longer grabbing hold of you.

4~ Listen. Whether you like Classical, Jazz, Pop or  just complete silence. Listening to something that takes your mind away from the stressors is a wonderful way to help reduce it.

5~ Grab a drink. A warm cup of tea (chamomile is great) or a decaf latte can help melt the problems away. Whatever you do, stay clear of Alcohol, Sugar & Caffeine as it tends to put your mind on a crazy rollercoaster ride. You will surely find yourself much lower in mind strength then when you started. Sometimes just holding that warm cup in your hands is enough to calm you.

6~ Just Stop. Totally Stop what you’re doing. If you need to pull over, pull over. If you need to place the person on the phone on hold, do that. If you need to step outside & away from the situation, do that. Whatever you need to do to stop it. Do that. (why not try that counting to 10 & breathing thing too (#1) :) )

7~ Grab the Phone & call a Friend. Sometimes all we need is that special someone to listen to us vent or just be there for us. It’s amazing what a good friend can do!

8~ Laugh. You’ve heard that Laughter is the best Medicine. And they’re right. Recall a funny Joke, Event or Show. You don’t have to share it with anyone, just close your eyes & picture something Hilarious! Ready, Set…. ROFL!!!

How are you feeling today…. Happy. :) Sad. :( Stressed. Tired. Excited. Bloated. Hung Over. Wonderful? More often than not (& this is so sad), we are feeling less than Optimal. Why not start asking yourselves WHY?????? (sometimes the craziest questions have the simplest answers)

So Let’s Go….. Ask yourself these 5 Life Changing Questions… (try to start with one feeling at a time, the most predominant feeling right this moment & don’t worry, you can do this over & over again).

#1 What is making you Sad, Miserable, Depressed, Bloated, Tired (etc)? In short, why are you feeling Negative, & less than Optimal right now? ____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________.

#2 Can you get out of doing, being, saying, eating, preparing for it? Can you stop making it happen? Can you pass it on to someone else, give it up all together? (It’s a Yes or No Answer) ____________________________________________________________.

If Yes ~ Then Great! Do that Now & Move onto #4 :)    If No ~

#3 Then How can you make it more manageable, Find Pleasure in it, Get it done faster or with less effort, etc? Anything you can think of to put a positive spin on it. ____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________.

#4 What makes you Happy, Joyful, Energized, Excited, Passionate, Loving, On Purpose?

____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________.

#5 How can you do more of that? Find more time these things now! ____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________.
