Miso has a great source of Manganese, Zinc, Phosphorous, Iron, Copper, B2, B6, B12, Protein, Fiber & Antioxidants.
What does it do for us?
Because it is a Fermented product, Miso is very beneficial in adding to our Good~Healthy Bacteria. Miso can reduce Pain, Lower Cholesterol & Blood Pressure, Boost Immunity & act as an Antacid. It has shown to stop the Growth of Cancerous Cells, remove Heavy Metal Poisoning & Protect against Radiation. Due to its Good Bacteria, it can also work wonderfully for Digestive Issues as well as helping keep you Alkaline!
Best way to buy it?
Buy it in the Refrigerated Section & Keep it in the Fridge! You may also find dried packets that make it easy to carry around for a quick Meal or Snack. Take note that the lighter the Miso Paste, the sweeter & lighter the flavor, the Darker the Miso paste, the Deeper & Heavier the flavor.
Best way to use it?
Use it in Dressings for Veggies or Salads. Put it in Stews or Soups, it can also be used to flavor & marinate Tofu.
Special Notices:
Because Miso is a Live food it must not be heated to a high temperature, that will kill off the Protective Enzymes. If adding Miso to Soup or Stews, leave it until the very end. (I like to add it to each bowl separately so that even leftovers can be heated safely without harming the Miso). Always remember to keep it refrigerated.
