Pick a few of the following Amazing Smoothie Additions listed & see how your Health soars! Here’s a list of my Top 10 Amazing Smoothie Additions (in no particular order):
Maca~
An Adaptogen is a super~hero that can help rebuild weak immune systems, increase energy, re~nourish our bodies as well as support falling & overworked areas of our body, it can also enhance our resistance power to negative external conditions. Maca nourishes and calms the nerves, stimulates the appetite and aids in digestion, at the same time it supports the adrenal glands so they don’t have to rely on damaging cortisol to fuel the body. Maca contains fibre, calcium, phosphorus, vitamin c, vitamins B1 and B12. It enhances Memory, builds muscle & endurance, speeds healing, acts as an antioxidant & is non~addictive!
1~2 Tbsp 2~3 times a week.
Cacao~
This decadent treat has more antioxidants then Red wine or Green tea! Cacao increases our feel good hormones Serotonin, which can help with Depression. It also works on our Endorphins, giving us that feel good ‘runners high’. Cacao is full of magnesium, sulfur, calcium, iron, zinc, copper, potassium and manganese. Cacao can help improve circulation, regulate heart beat, lower our bad cholesterol as well as help repair & resist damage caused by free radicals, and may reduce risk of certain cancers.
1~2 Tbsp two or three times a week.
Tiger Nuts~
Fairy new on the scene, these Spanish tubers contain a lot of phosphorous, calcium, potassium, vitamin E & Vitamin C. Tiger~Nuts help maintain muscle contractions, keep a healthy level of Red Blood Cell formation, has a positive effect on Bad Cholesterol. This very popular Spanish drink is suitable for diabetics, children, elderly & everyone!
1~2 Tbsp 4~6 times a week.
Protein Powder~
Depending on the Brand you choose, Protein powders can enhance your regular diet regimen tremendously. Choosing a Vegan or Vegetarian one made with Pea Protein is important as it’s extremely high in Protein that is easily digestible.

Flax Seeds~
These flat apple seed like seeds are an amazing addition to any smoothie. Fibre (both soluble & insoluble), lignans & healthy fats all abound. These are helpful with Constipation, inflammation, lower of Bad Cholesterol, heart dis~ease, & it’s even good for increasing your energy!
2~3 tsp daily.
Chia Seeds~
Chia seeds are funny little ‘poppy seed’ like beauties that are heavy on Omega~3′s! These babies will gel up anything you put them in, so don’t leave them in your smoothie for too long (it may turn into a pudding
). Fibre, Calcium, Potassium & lots of Protein is included in these little seeds. They will help with energy & muscle building!
1~2 tsp daily.
Wheat Grass/ Barley Grass~
The very young grass picked before it matures to actual Wheat or Barley (gluten free if done properly), these grasses contain tons of Chlorophyll, Protein & Vitamins. A great shot of flavor & nutrients.

Chlorella/ Spirulina~
Chlorella is a single celled Organism that has Potassium, all B Vitamins (including 12), Magnesium, Iron, Zinc, & 18 Amino Acids & Complete Protein! Spirulina is amazing for Detoxing the body, boosting Immunity, & is extremely digestible. Spirulina is similar to Chlorella, another very digestible high Protein that includes all B Vitamins, Vitamin C, E, Calcium, Potassium, Zinc, Omega 3 & more.

Hemp~
Hemp seed is very different from Hemp Leaf. First off there is no THC so you will not become ‘high’ off Hemp seeds! These babies contain an ideal balance of Omega 3 & 6, it has all the Amino Acids & Complete Protein. Use the Seeds or Oil in Smoothies.

Turmeric~

Cinnamon~
This fancy spice is famous for pies & cookies, but it can seriously boost a smoothie too! It’s a good source of Manganese, Fiber, Iron, & Calcium. Cinnamon useful for Tense Muscles, stimulates the Digestion, as a Diuretic, Anti~Convulsant, Anti~Biotic. It has also shown to reduce fasting Blood Glucose, & reduce Leukemia & Lymphoma Cancer cells.
