New Reads for the Week!

Hey all! Excited for another Weekend of Fun? Before you head off & make amazing plans, grab a coffee, tea (or glass of wine~ depending on the time zone), & take a read on some of the things I found interesting this week!

Conscious Diva’s had another article that I liked. It talked about how you see the glass; being half full or half empty. With practice, I now see the glass half full, but it wasn’t always that way for me either. If you have trouble seeing the good in situations take a peek at this article. I especially like #1 πŸ™‚

Kris Carr’s Crazy~Sexy~Life has done it again. An article that you should not skip:

Do you notice your thoughts? Do you really notice them. After reading this article you may be surprised at how many times you do, say, or think things without even knowing! Afterwards, check out this post from the Feel~Good~Tribe about some nasty lies you may be telling yourself!

Do you have young boys that you are raising? I have two… & as a Girl who grew up with a HUGE majority of Women in my life, there is a constant struggle with how to raise them properly. It took a few years for my husband to convince me that farting & burping really were ‘normal’ for boys! I really appreciated reading this article about raising confident sons & think if you have boys in your life, then it’s worth the read for sure!

Have you ever gone to Danielle’s site? I’ve signed up for her ‘daily truth bombs‘ & they are awesome! The one that got me this week was Everything~ Absolutly Everything ~ Is Progress! Sweet right!!

Kris Carr (again) has a great article on Living & Raw foods. What’s the difference you ask, well check out the post! As a family that tries to eat as healthy as possible, the habit of eating more Living foods as a pose to Raw foods is still in the making. One step at a time right! πŸ™‚

I loved this post, 7 Mental Mistakes, little ways that are keeping you from living better. I’m printing these off & keeping them in my pocket! Lately I’ve been VERY vigilant on NOT living or worrying about the Past & Future, I have to say that it’s really quite liberating! Give it a try!

With all this Training I’m doing for the 1/2 Marathon in Vancouver on June 24th, I thought this post about Fueling was great. I always thought it was only important to fuel when racing, not while training, boy was I wrong! I love Vega a lot. Being Vegan & Gluten Free, I feel 100000% safe using their products.

I have a Tremendous urge to make my Own very Personal Sprouts in my Kitchen. I also have a Strong Fear that they will go ‘bad’ & make us all sick…. Here’s hoping that all goes well ~ πŸ™‚ Kris Carr just put out a post on some easy steps to making your own here, & how’s this for timing…. a great post on using your sprouts!Β  Do you do your own sprouts?

Do you compost? I think that EVERYONE should be composting. It’s easier then you may think. You don’t need a lot of space (inside or outside). In an apartment, mansion, trailer, the city or country, EVERYONE should compost. Read here.
